Claude Puel is reportedly facing the sack at Leicester City
The Foxes have failed to win in three Premier League matches and are sitting 12th in the table after last weekend’s dismal defeat at Crystal Palace.Leicester face two tough fixtures over the Christmas period, away to Chelsea on Saturday and at home to champions Manchester City on Boxing Day.ButPuel is said to have been told he must improve results quickly, or will face the chop.Puel has been widely praised for the dignified manner in which he has handled team affairs following the devastating death of the club’s owner,Vichai Srivaddhanaprabha, in a helicopter crash. However, there are claimed to be huge concerns around the club about the Frenchman’s training methods and management of the squad, as well as results, and it is felt a change may well be needed in the new year. Speaking earlier this week, striker Jamie Vardy admitted to feeling frustration over the style of play, which he claims does not suit him.The decision on Puel’s future will be made by Aiyawatt Srivaddhanaprabha, the son of their late owner and Leicesters vice-chairman.Should Puel go, Celtic boss Brendan Rodgers is widely expected to be the frontrunner to take charge at the King Power Stadium.Rodgers has been a huge success at Celtic but is expected to leave his post next summer and the former Liverpool boss has made no secret of his desire to return to the Premier League.
