A selection of Manchester United players have been left frustrated by Jose Mourinho’s continued faith in Nemanja Matic.Matic, the midfielder, joined the Red Devils last summer from Chelsea, having played under Mourinho for the Stamford Bridge club.5

Matic has been a loyal servant to Mourinho

He started his Old Trafford career superbly, and ended his debut season having started all but three of United’s Premier League matches.However, the Serbia international’s excellent early form started to fade at the turn of the year, and he’s struggled for consistency throughout 2018. He’s played 14 times in all competitions this season, missing only three matches due to injury and suspension, and this is believed to have left a selection of United’s players and staff frustrated.According to The Times, some of the United dressing room feel Matic is untouchable despite his ongoing struggles, which came to the fore during Sunday’s Manchester derby, with the midfielder largely at fault for City’s third goal in their 3-1 defeat of Mourinho’s side.5
