Leeds United defender Pontus Jansson has appeared to hit out at the Football Association after they decided against charging Charlie Austin for comments he made after Southampton’s match against Watford.The Saints were held to a 1-1 draw by the Hertfordshire club last weekend, and Austin was furious at full-time as a strike of his – which would have put Southampton two goals ahead – was ruled out by the officials.3

Austin’s spectacular post-game rant went viral on social media

Maya Yoshida was in an offside position and was deemed to have interfered with Watford goalkeeper Ben Foster when Austin fired off his shot, and the Hornets pegged Southampton back to secure a share of the spoils.In a television interview held after the match, Austin vented his frustration.“Its ridiculous, they shouldnt be in the game,” he said.We scored a perfectly good goal that was ruled out for offside. Its a joke.”It has since been announced Austin escaped an FA charge for his outburst – though this has not been greeted with joy from everyone.Janssonwas charged by the FA earlier this season for blasting the officials after Leeds’ 1-1 draw with Brentford.When asked how he felt, Jansson said live on Sky Sports: “Nothing, it feels s**t to be fair.” He was reminded of his responsibilities not to swear on television, but Jansson replied: “I dont care man.“This is a robbery from the referee so it feels bad.”The defender was eventually handed a one-match ban for his comments, and the FA’s decision to not charge Austin has not gone down well with the Sweden international.Taking to his Twitter account, Jansson appeared to take a swipe at the Football Association in a social media message reading: “some people can, some can’t!”
