Beardsley has categorically denied the claims.Confirming his departure from St James Park, a Newcastle statement said: “Newcastle United can confirm that Peter Beardsley is no longer employed by the club. We are grateful for the contribution Peter has given over the years as a player, coach and ambassador and we wish him well for the future.The club will make no further comment at this time.Beardsley is Newcastles sixth all-time top scorer with 119 goals in 326 appearances. He won 59 caps for England and represented the Three Lions at two World Cups (1986 and 1990).He retired from playing in 1999 and joined Newcastle’s coaching staff shortly after and was subject of a Premier League inquiry after allegations of bullying in 2003, similar to the ones faced recently.
