Jay Rodriguez somehow managed to scoop the ball over from a yard out, while Hal Robson-Kanu headed wide from similarly short range, both within the opening 25 minutes of the match.The Bees eventually settled andEmiliano Marcondes forced West Brom keeper Sam Johnstone into a wonderful save in the second-half.But the hosts looked set to clinch victory when, in the 77th minute, Barnes finally broke Brentford’s resistance with a sweet left-footed volley.4

However, there was a sting in the tail and it came from Macleod, who was expertly found unmarked from Emiliano’s cross to stun West Brom.The last-gasp equaliser helps Brentford boss Thomas Frank avoid a seventh defeat in his first eight games in charge, while the Baggies will be kicking themselves for missing the chance to go third in the Championship.
