Brandt has been linked with both Liverpool and Tottenham, and Leverkusen managing director Rudi Voller said his future will be resolved soon.“Brandt has some requests, and in the next five, six or seven days there will be a decision,” he told Sky Sports in Germany, adding the club is hopeful he will remain, though said the chance of him staying for another season was ’50/50′.Borussia Dortmund, who finished Bundesliga runners-up, are thought to be his preferred destination, according to German news outlet Bild. Paris Saint-Germain, Juventus and Atletico Madrid are other European heavyweights understood to have shown interest. In 2017, Voller spoke glowingly of a player he has seen develop since arriving at the BayArena in 2014, by calling him the ‘future of the national team’. Brandt, whose contract expires in 2021, came through the academy at Wolfsburg and joined Leverkusen midway through the 2013/14 season, making his debut at the age of 17.This season, playing centrally, the midfielder has scored seven Bundesliga goals and created 11 – three of those for 17-goal Kai Havertz, Leverkusen’s 19-year-old wonderkid. His 11 assists put him third in the Bundesliga stats table, behind Joshua Kimmich with 13 and Jadon Sancho with 14.Brandt has played 24 times for Germany and was a member of the side’s 2018 World Cup squadGETTY2
