The Christian Fuchs spelling error on Newport County’s official team sheet is completely as expected
Newport County completed perhaps the shock of the FA Cup third round by defeating Premier League side Leicester on Sunday afternoon.Padraig Amond scored the winning goal from the penalty spot to guide Newport into the fourth round, after Rachid Ghezzal had earlier cancelled out Jamille Matt’s 10th minute opener.1

And, to add insult to injury, one of Leicester’s players was further embarrassed before the match even started.When the official team sheet was released, Christian Fuchs’ name had been misspelled – in the most expected manner. The ‘h’ in his last name was replaced with a ‘k’, changing Fuchs to, well… you’ve guessed it.

Former Leicester star Gary Lineker also picked up on the error, posting his own image to social website Twitter.

The Newport fans revelled in their club’s defeat of Premier League opposition, and they even decided to mock Lineker after the full-time whistle.
