The structure remains known as the ‘Tottenham Hotspur Stadium’, though it has always been understood Spurs were planning on selling the naming rights for the ground. And earlier this week it was reported that the Lilywhites’ new home will be called the ‘Nike Stadium’.The name was claimed by Richard Keys on his beIN SPORTS show, but Tottenham quickly dismissed the reports as incorrect.Richard Keys’ leak was quickly refuted by Spurs2

And, while the name may have been wrong, a fresh leak appears to confirm Spurs’ stadium WILL be sponsored by Nike. Twitter use @Lilywhite_Rose shared a picture which shows two potential names for the ground: ‘North London Stadium’ and ‘White Hart Lane’.The latter was, of course, the name of Tottenham’s home before the stadium redevelopment. The image which features these two names also includes a Nike tick, though there is no reference to the company in either of the names.Tottenham are expected to reveal their new stadium’s name formally over the next couple of weeks with plans to move in to the ground next month. The north Londoners cannot start playing at the arena until it is has the correct safety certificates, which are awarded upon the completion of two test events of increasing capacity. These are expected to take place before the end of March.
