Pablo Zabaleta opts to extend stay at West Ham and feels he ‘can go for another year’
Pablo Zabaleta has put his retirement plans on hold and signed a new one-year contract with West Ham.The 34-year-olds two-year deal was due to run out at the end of the season and there was speculation that he would call time on his career.Getty1

Pablo Zabaleta signed a new contract with West Ham

The Hammers have taken up their one-year option to keep the right-back until 2020 and Zabaleta feels he can go for another year.He joined the London club from Manchester City in July 2017 and has made 65 appearances, occasionally deputising for captain Mark Noble.

Zabaleta said: Its great news and Im so happy.Im enjoying my time at West Ham and Ive got so much respect and so much passion for this profession. I just want to focus on what were doing with the club and with the team this season and be ready to go again next season, because I just want to enjoy every single moment.
