Former West Ham, Aston Villa and Everton defender Unsworth was very consistent from the spot.He buried 22 spot-kicks from 26 attempts during his spell in the Premier League – giving him an 84.6% conversion rate.11

Gunners legend Henry almost always had a cool head from the spot.He converted 23 of his 25 penalty attempts – giving him a 92% success rate.11

Former Manchester United and Everton striker Rooney has never shied away from taking penalty kicks throughout his career.He has slotted home 23 times from 31 attempts – giving him a success rate of 74.1%11

5. Sergio Aguero – 24

The Argentine has been the designated penalty taker at Man City in last few years and is very reliable from the spot.He has netted 24 goals from 28 strikes – giving him a conversion rate of 85% conversion rate.11

4. Matt Le Tissier – 25

Not only was Le Tissier one of the best free-kick takers in the land during his spell in the Prem but he was also a great spot-kick taker.He only missed one penalty in his whole league career – giving him a stunning success rate of 96.2%11

3. Steven Gerrard – 32

Gerrard was on spot-kick duty at Liverpool for a number of years.He netted 32 of his 41 attempts – handing him a conversion rate of 78%11

2. Frank Lampard – 43

Lampard was hugely consistent from the spot.He slammed home 43 of his 50 penalties – giving him an 86% conversion rate.11

Shearer isn’t just the all-time top scorer in the Prem but he has also netted the most pens.He scored 56 of his 67 penalties – giving him a conversion rate of 83.6%.11
